Summer rates usually apply from June through the first week of September. They tend to drop about 15-20 per cent for the rest of the year. Expect rates on all accomodations to be significantly higher and difficult to find during and around the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally which
takes place the first full week of August.

AmericInn has summer rates of $94.90 plus tax, from late May  through early September. Their offseason rate is $69.90 for a no
pets, no smoking room with two queen beds or one king bed. The price  includes an enhanced continental breakfast, pool, hot tub, sauna and  a shuttle to classes at the Black Hills School of Woodworking.

Area Information

The Web sites listed below will give you some idea of the overwhelming number of things to do and see in this magnificent region. For golf enthusiasts, there are over a dozen courses within ninety minutes of the school (see link below). Motorcycle enthusiasts will revel in the lore and stores of Sturgis, including the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame. For anybody interested in the story of the West, few resources unfold that saga as well as the area's museums, such as the Tri State in Belle Fourche, Fort Meade Museum in Sturgis and the Adams House in Deadwood. Take a step back in time through the antique stores and rodeo grounds of Belle Fourche, test your luck in Deadwood and visit the historic Fish Hatchery and the breathtaking scenery of the canyon in Spearfish.
For families, the area is host to Mount Rushmore, Devil's Tower, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, and such renowned attractions as Bear Country USA, Presidents' Park, Badlands National Park and more. Adults will enjoy the nightlife in Deadwood and the quiet sophistication of Spearfish, where one can start the day at any one of half a dozen downtown coffee shops, and linger through the evening over fine Italian cuisine at Roma's. And for cowboy color, visit the Belle Fourche Chamber's Web site.
